How we update the catalogue
The catalogue was last updated on August 21, 2026. Prices move, and if the figure at the till differs from the figure here, the till is right. This page sets out what we refresh, how often, and what we do when something does not line up.
What we refresh
- Prices for all 975 products in the catalogue.
- The price per piece, which is recalculated from the price rather than stored, so it can never be left over from a previous figure.
- Availability, so a product with no current price is marked rather than hidden.
- Customer rating averages and rating counts on the products that carry them.
In the current update 962 of the 975 products carry a price, and 290 carry a customer rating.
Why the price per piece is calculated rather than stored
This is a small technical decision with a large honesty consequence, so it is worth stating plainly. The per piece figure on every product page is worked out from the current price and the pack size at the moment the page is built. It is never written down and reused.
The reason is that a stored figure survives a price change. If a pack goes from twelve dollars to fourteen and the per piece number was saved rather than derived, the page would show the new price beside the old arithmetic, and it would look entirely plausible. Deriving it means the two numbers cannot disagree.
Ratings, and why only some products have them
Roughly 290 of our products carry a rating on this site, out of 975. That is not a filter for flattering numbers; it is the set we have confirmed figures for, and it covers the products we put in front of people on the front page and at the top of each category.
Across those, the weighted average is 4.52 from 309,617 ratings. Where a product has no rating on this site, the page says so rather than leaving a blank that reads as five stars. We publish poor ratings alongside good ones, because a rating that only appears when it flatters us is not a rating.
Where the pack sizes come from
The pack size on every product page is the number the product is sold in, taken from the specification for that product. It is the most useful figure in this catalogue and the one everything else is built on, so it is worth being clear that it is read rather than assumed.
Pack sizes here run from two to 1,500 pieces. Where a product is genuinely sold singly, the page says "single item" rather than pretending to a pack of one.
Missing figures
Some pages carry a material and a row of stated properties. Some carry neither. That is not inconsistency, it is the specification: we publish the properties a product actually declares and leave the row out where it declares none.
The same rule applies to dimensions and weights. A figure we cannot stand behind does not go on the page, even where its absence looks like carelessness.
Products with no current price
When a product has no current price we mark it "Currently unavailable" and leave it in the catalogue. Deleting it would be tidier and less useful: people arrive looking for the thing they already own, and a page that exists with a note is better than a dead end.
Where the buying happens
Our buy buttons hand off to the store where the purchase is completed, and payment, delivery and returns all happen there. We do not take payment, hold stock or send parcels.
